A delegation of South African businessmen is currently visiting Bangladesh. The party held a meeting with the executive committee of the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Wednesday. The Jeweler’s Association has given this information in a press release.
In the meeting, Bajaus Vice President Masudur Rahman urged South African businessmen to invest in the jewellery industry of Bangladesh.
At that time, Nokuthula Noki Ndlove, a member of the South African delegation, said that there was a huge potential in the jewellery sector in Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s jewellery industry will progress if properly invested. Bangladesh can also invest in South Africa if it wants.
Bajus executive committee member Pawan Kumar Agarwala said that the demand for diamond jewellery in Bangladesh is increasing day by day. However, there is no diamond-cutting factory on a large scale in this country. He attracted the attention of South African businessmen to invest in this sector.
He is meeting was also attended by South African business representative Elisa Makwa, Bajus Vice President MA Hannan Azad, Md. Ripnul Hasan, Md. Zainal Abedin and others.
